PFS November House Concert

Adler Residence in Roxborough, PA (message for details)

Join PFS in welcoming Marion Halliday for a PFS House Concert!

Marion Halliday (and her band, Trickster Sister) is a proud purveyor of their own special blend of bluegrass and bourbon-infused, original, woman-powered Americana. Marion, a native Kentuckian now living in Philadelphia, is songwriter for the band and has found great inspiration in the history of her new home-town, writing a range of songs that touch on Philly’s rich and varied past. She has also written songs on more universal, contemporary topics such as domestic abuse, gun violence, suicide, and the scourge of heroin and meth addiction ravaging our country. Marion’s music also includes amusing reflections on the challenges of relationships, as well as an abiding love of bourbon. For this show, Marion plans to include some much loved covers that are in keeping with the season of gratitude that spans Thanksgiving through year-end - she would love for folks to sing and even play along too for the end of the show (so bring your axe, or uke, or harmonica, or your diamonds to shake) .. . who knows how long the jam may last!
